What? Six views of Rothenburg from the sketchbook of the Bernau painter Hans Thoma are in the possession of the RothenburgMuseum. Thoma made the sketchbook during a trip in 1885, further stops after Rothenburg were Schwäbisch Hall and Cologne.

What is worth a closer look? Hans Thoma was an art professor at the University of Karlsruhe and was one of the most important painters of his time in Germany.

April – October: 9.30 am to 5.30 pm

November – December: 1 pm to 4 pm

During the Christmas Market: 10 am to 4 pm
